Our traditional first speaker of the year is the Mayor of Denver. However, this year, our mayor is also running for governor. Should the mayor be allowed to speak at City Club of Denver? Can he wear the hat of mayor without the hat of campaigner? What do you think?

I think this is a great way to start the season, however, I do believe his political bent should be offset by an opportunity to hear from his opponent.

Well, he allegedly wasn't speaking as candidate for governor, but as the mayor of Denver. Did he succeed? We are inviting candidates to come and talk. Tom Tancredo is coming up on September 21st.
