This presentation will be a Bipartisan post legislative analysis of the 2019 session covering a wide range of bills from Paid Family Leave, Oil and Gas regulation, Tobacco taxation, DeBrucing and much more


Presenters:

Kristin Strohm    


Kristin Strohm is President & CEO of Common Sense Policy Roundtable (CSPR), a non-profit free-enterprise think tank dedicated to the protection and promotion of the economy. Strohm also serves as Board Chair of the Starboard Group, which she co-founded and is widely regarded as one of the most influential fundraising consulting firms in the West.
Kristin has been honored by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce as one of the Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Colorado. She has also been awarded Denver Business Journal's 40 Under 40 Award and the Ally Award from the pro-LGTBQ organization One Colorado in recognition of her advocacy for gay rights among Republicans.
Kristin volunteers her time in a range of philanthropic and community endeavors. She is a past board chair of the Women's Bean Project, serves on the Denver Area Council Boy Scouts of America Executive Board and is on the board of the Strohm-Link Family Foundation. She is also on the University of Denver Barton Institute Board of Advisors and is part of the American Enterprise Institute Leadership Network's founding class. In addition, serves on the Board of Trustees at her alma mater, Coe College, where she also founded the Tri Delta Leadership Scholarship.
Kristin is a graduate of Coe College and obtained her MBA from the University of Denver. She married to Josh Penry and they make their home in Greenwood Village, Colorado with their four children.


SCOTT WASSERMAN


Scott Wasserman has served as president of the Bell Policy Center and the Bell Action Network since August 2016. Scott leads a veteran staff that has played a major role in fiscal reform, education policy, economic security and other key issues that affect the well-being of working families in Colorado. Previously, Scott was deputy chief of staff to Gov. John Hickenlooper and chief of staff to former Lt. Gov. Joe Garcia and current Lt. Gov. Donna Lynne. He worked in the governor’s office from 2013 to 2016, advising on education policy, workforce development and healthcare initiatives.
Before that, Scott spent eight years in leadership positions at SEIU and Colorado WINS. He also has worked as a lobbyist and served four years as director of communications and press secretary for the Colorado House Minority Office. Scott graduated from George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in Middle East studies.
