Events like the Aurora and Newtown shootings have recently brought the gun control debate front and center yet again.  Albeit occasionally overshadowed, it is a topic of perpetual legislative and sociological debate.  The discussion around this polarizing issue involves personal protection, the second amendment, public safety, mental illness and many other considerations.  Questions abound:  Are laws likely to change?  Should we expect our elected leaders to take action?  Will it happen locally or nationally?

Dave Kopel
will address these and other questions as he frames multiple angles of the gun control debate and critically examines the various opinions on this complicated issue.
